After my studies at the Royal Cadets School and later at the Royal Military School, I started my career as a pilot officer in the Air Force. First as an operational Mirage pilot, then as a Mirage instructor, F-16 pilot, and finally as an Alpha Jet instructor. Air Force Staff Chief of Operations was my last function in my military career. In 2000 I began a civilian career.
As the last commander of the Brustem airbase, I am delighted to be involved in the restoration of BD 09 at Sint-Truiden. Many thanks to the TEAM BD 09.
