( ° 28.07.1963 )
Son of a soldier who served on everything from Spitfires to T-33 Shooting Stars, grew up surrounded by the roar of jet engines and the elegance of the Fouga Magister. His own career began in the Army as a gunner on the Leopard tank with the 2nd Lancers, but he soon transferred to Saffraanberg for training as an aircraft technician (cellule).
After his training, he was assigned to the 10th Wing in Kleine Brogel, where he worked on the F-16 for about a year. He then moved to Brustem, where he was put in charge of the Alpha Jet and Fouga Magister. After several years on the line, where aircraft are prepared for operation, he moved to the maintenance department. There he specialized in inspections, repairs to the Alpha Jet and Fouga Magister, and later also in composite materials.
After ten years of loyal service with the Air Force, he continued his career as a civilian maintenance technician. Today, he is active in Team BD 09, where he continues to share his passion for military aviation with the public.
